Out with the teddies...

We love buying things for our children that they love, but even better if we can enjoy looking at them too. These amigurumi animals would be a welcome addition our children's bedrooms.

And, have you ever seen such an eccentric and quirky looking stuffed toy as Geoffrey the lion?! He can be found in irene strange's Etsy shop... isn't he so cute?

Mother's day wishlist

We got to thinking (what with it being mother’s day tomorrow. We’ve pretended to forget but clearly we haven’t and will be expecting a nice big lie in)... if it were acceptable to write a mother’s day list, what would be on it. Mmmm...

Some lovely fabrics to add to the pile. The sweetest we’ve stumbled across recently are these Anna Maria Horner flannels. Okay, so it would probably be turned into something for the children so not a selfless mother’s day request. On to the next one…

An ercol daybed… something pretty similar to this. Pretty hard to wrap up, granted, and pretty hard to come by (although it won’t stop us looking).

So this maybe?

Okay, so perhaps that’s not likely to appear by the bed (along with french toast and a steaming hot latte) tomorrow morning... but who said it had to be realistic?

Such a shame that literacy is still a few years off for our children.

We do love flowers and chocolates too :o)

Lulabird hits the high street!

Exciting news - Lulabird products have gone up for sale today in the People Shop - a cute little boutique selling beautiful clothes, funky gifts and cool accessories. The shop is 'tucked away in the suburbs' of Birmingham, a great place for all those people in the West Midlands who don't want to buy high street and mainstream products!

The Lulabird website is ready to go live!

Click, click and we're away! Exciting news for us - the lulabird website is finished, is ready to go live and is awaiting it's first online customers. It's taken a few months to perfect but we're really pleased that it's up and running. If you spot any bugs, then please let us know (there shouldn't be any after all of the testing but you never know...)! Go to www.lulabird.co.uk to check it out.

Retro wallpaper

Lulabird is loving retro wallpaper at the moment! There are a few good sites where you can source original 50s, 60s and 70s paper from - still in the original packaging. And it's not that expensive to buy. Definitely worth jazzing up the lounge with a feature wall. So many cool designs out there...
