A cute little Lulabird Christmas List

I am no Christmas present buying queen. Oh no, you won't find wrapped presents under my bed until at least the 24th December.

But I have started to think about writing Christmas lists and so, slipping into procrastinating mode, I created these cute little downloadable Christmas Wishlists. Use them to jot down the things you're longing for, or the things your children want (that could be long, I know!). Use them however you wish and for whoever and whatever you wish. But most of all, enjoy!

Now I really had better start writing those lists.

But perhaps I'll have a cup of tea first.

PS. To download, simply click on the image above to open larger image, right click, save the file to your computer and then print. You'll get the best quality print if you use good paper stock and a higher quality print setting.

LulaWhale in the Telegraph

So then, did anyone spot the LulaWhale in the Telegraph's Children's notebook on Saturday. Here he is. Ahh, isn't he sweet :)

P.S. I'm thinking those little boy's boiler suits next door are pretty cool too. Might have to get my boys one for when they're in the mood to get grubby in the garden!

Lulabird email crisis...

Oh, how ever did we cope without email?? Our email system has gone down today and we are rendered completely useless and in a state of utter panic. Makes you wonder how we ever got anything done before modern technology came along; we must have had to write things on paper and speak to people directly... shock, horror :)

If anyone should need to contact us in the meantime and can't seem to get an email through then please drop us a mail at lulabirddesign@hotmail.co.uk. We hope to be back with the modern world soon!!

Easter debate: Dining table vs ipad. No contest.

I have eaten from the minute I woke up this morning. Total gluttony on my part... hot cross buns, chocolate bunnies, chocolate eggs, banana and chocolate cake. I must stop there, it's just too shameful. My boys must think me such a hypocrite having spent the day monitoring their chocolate intake, preaching about the unhealthy side effects of eating too much sugar whilst eating my second (uh hum... fourth) roll of rolos.

So anyway, thought I'd distract myself from the oodles of goodies that are surrounding me by looking on the wonderful world wide web for some delightful things that aren't made of chocolate.

I've had my eye out for a dining table for a while now. Want something round, a bit retro but I'm thinking modern retro rather than vintage. Have looked at a few sale rooms but nothing has come up that's quite right and I like the Ikea stockholm range but I begrudge paying that much for ikea... you know what I mean don't you?? Today, however, I think I found it.... next Easter I plan to eat my hot cross buns off this great table from Graham and Green that is now at the top of my 2010 wishlist.

I'd like that room too... lovely and bright. That's a big ask though I guess.

My husband, however, is mostly obsessing today about the launch of the apple ipad. It's progressed from a healthy passing interest to an 'I'm absolutely, definitely having one' in the past 24 hours. He did just show me a picture of the scrabble game which does look amazing (I'm a word game fiend, that's the geek coming out in me) but I'd rather have something to eat my dinner off.

Dining table or ipad... let the battle commence.

Mmm... rolos or flake??

Out with the teddies...

We love buying things for our children that they love, but even better if we can enjoy looking at them too. These amigurumi animals would be a welcome addition our children's bedrooms.

And, have you ever seen such an eccentric and quirky looking stuffed toy as Geoffrey the lion?! He can be found in irene strange's Etsy shop... isn't he so cute?

Mother's day wishlist

We got to thinking (what with it being mother’s day tomorrow. We’ve pretended to forget but clearly we haven’t and will be expecting a nice big lie in)... if it were acceptable to write a mother’s day list, what would be on it. Mmmm...

Some lovely fabrics to add to the pile. The sweetest we’ve stumbled across recently are these Anna Maria Horner flannels. Okay, so it would probably be turned into something for the children so not a selfless mother’s day request. On to the next one…

An ercol daybed… something pretty similar to this. Pretty hard to wrap up, granted, and pretty hard to come by (although it won’t stop us looking).

So this maybe?

Okay, so perhaps that’s not likely to appear by the bed (along with french toast and a steaming hot latte) tomorrow morning... but who said it had to be realistic?

Such a shame that literacy is still a few years off for our children.

We do love flowers and chocolates too :o)
